Swedish indie label Wonderland Records present electronic indie rock act Hearts of Black Science and offers free listening to the full album as well as free download of the single Gold & Dust.

Hearts of Black Science, based in Swedish Stenungsund (just outside Gothenburg) is Daniel Anghede and Tomas Almgren and they bring you powerful, suggestive indie rock with electronic influences. Think Danish Mew mixed with Keane and Depeche Mode but with a distinct personal touch.

The debut album was released on reknowned UK indie label AC30 and they did two shorter UK tours back in 06/07. Among the highlights of the tour were two live shows in the BBC6 studio in London.

Their new material is released on Swedish Wonderland Records, home of acts like Emmon, Convoj and Universal Poplab.

--------------What glorious and strange wonders befell me in my music world today! The tone of this post is going to be rather bipolar, and you'll definitely understand with the information I have to share.

First of all - got my Brand New ticket! They'll be coming through Charlotte this coming Monday with Thrice and Crime in Stereo. Too bad I'm poor and can't see them with Glassjaw in New York. But still - I'm definitely not embarassed to geek out about this show.

Beezy (aka BZ), a young rap artist from the southeast, has already been slated by many as the next teenage rap sensation. His current single "My J's" (aptly named after the popular shoes branded after Michael Jordan) is spreading through the southeast like wildfire, and will premiere on MusicDishTV on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Pretty Lights - Finally Moving Remix
-------------Complexity can be a beautiful thing, especially when that complexity requires one to stop what they are doing and pay full attention to it. That amounted to my first time listening to Pretty Lights, a Fort Collins, Colorado electronica/hip-hop group that compose songs as detailed and meticulous as a classical symphony.

Derek Vincent Smith and Corey Eberhard throw their cutting edge party beats and Daft-Punk style songs into a whirlwind of robotic harmony. Electronica hardly ever ceases to impress me, and Pretty Lights couldn't make digital music more, well, pretty! "Finally Moving (Remix)" from the 2008 album Filling Up the City Skies.

New World/Folk/Roots duo Bethany & Rufus along with Fulani flutist Yacouba Moumouni and Afro Haitian drummer 'Bonga' Jean-Baptiste will release a new CD, entitled "Live A Fip" on October 22, 2009. The Bethany & Rufus Roots Quartet "Live A Fip" CD features 12 tracks, and will debut in Europe on the Daqui Records label.

The "Live A Fip" CD release was a natural extension of Bethany & Rufus' collaborations with Jean-Baptiste and Moumouni. Wake Up the Sleepers is our deepest, most ambitious album. We had a renewed sense of fearlessness and freedom during the writing and recording process that we haven't felt since our independent DIY days in Chicago. We took a lot of chances, because this is the album that we want to be remembered by.

Wake Up the Sleepers is our statement of defiance against those in the music industry who have been sleeping. Those who have been drifting in a comfortable slumber of OLD methods, OLD business models, OLD routines, OLD bullshit. Brittany and I and only had two classes together in the morning; Science and English, and I discovered that no one else was as nice and friendly as she had been. A couple people talked to me, but eventually I knew they would lose interest and stop being nice.  The school wasn't too hard to find my way around, once I knew where my classes were, so after my fourth period class; Algebra, I was relieved to be able to find the lunchroom.

Brittany sat at a table with five other people. She waved me over with her toothy smile and gestured to the seat beside her. "Hey!" she chirped.
