http://approvereferendum71.org VOTE TO APPROVE REFERENDUM 71! PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIPS! I saw a long line of bigots lining the streets today, and it really made me sick. Don't let this turn into another Proposition H8! Please repost this link and spread the word, this issue isn't getting nearly the attention it needs to. |

Protect Marriage Washington, an anti-gay rights group organized in response to a referendum recognizing civil unions and all that they imply for gay couples, has released a commercial that I found pretty interesting. In particular, this part: |

So Who's Going to Be at the National Equality March?
Journal
posted by Writer Writing Nothing 1 mo ago
I'm going on Sunday to march for gay rights in Washington. It's at noon at 15th and I streets and it's going to be a blast. I'll be the one with the sign that say "Equality in America NOW" on one side and "No government has the right to tell it's citizens when or whom to love. The only queer people are those who don't love anybody-- Rita Mae Brown" on the other. I'll also be wering a pink t-shirt that says "This is what a feminist looks like." This is a really important issue that I hope a lot of people support. Pretending that there is something wrong with a type of love is not going to fix this country's problem, only make them worse. My mom and Dad helped me with the sign. I think it's hilarious that my Dad was sanding my sign post and covering it with sponge |

NO H8, spread the word.

This video made my cry. Amongst animal rights and peace, another big thing I believe in is gay rights. Whether you love the same sex, or the opposite, or even both...we are all human and nobody has the right to discriminate against that. It saddens me that many people still live in the stone age and are so ignorant to others that they refuse to open their mind. We will keep fighting and I know eventually our voice is going to be heard, its just going to take time. A lot of people believe why bother but take a look at history...slavery, the holocaust, and even women's right to vote...a difference can be made if you keep fighting. NO H8. CA needs to step it up. Rainbow love ♥

Everyone deserves the same treatment in education, housing, the armed forces - you name it. Sometimes you can find amazing quotes in facebook

I love this quote.
You know whats funny, Im not a catholic or christian, in fact I dont believe in God. Anyway, if anyone ever tells you being gay is wrong because the bible says so and thats wrong in their religion, read this...(my facebook is in spanish :P ) Ryan McKelvy (Midwestern) ha escrito hace 18 horas: I am a church going Christian Gay Boy, and I don't care what most Christian Churches say, I leave it up to God to judge me, not my fellow man. I know he loves me and if I believe that Christ died for my sins then I will go to Heaven. I hate anyone that uses the Bible to bash anyone whether it be about race, religion, gender, or sexuality. The Bible tells us to love our fellow man, I know I do |
