The only word I can use to explain my feelings right now is euphoria.
My mom let me stay home from school to watch the Inauguration coverage but I missed it because I was in line at the mall getting free cosmetics. >:/. I did get $400 worth of products though so I'm good. But as of today we have our first black president in national history. I wonder if this is something like how the first Americans felt when George Washington was inaugurated. I remember looking in the back of my history book during the 2004 elections at school and looking at the place where the 44th president would be with a small wish in my mind that a black man or any kind of woman would fill that place. And look at us today. Not only did we have both of those running for president, but now we have a black |

No one as Irish as Barack OBama

Moneygall is a small village in County Offaly , Ireland . It has
a population of approximately 300 people, has a Roman Catholic church, five shops, a post office, a national school, a police station and two pubs. President of the United States Barack Obama's great-great-great grandfather, Falmouth Kearney, emigrated from Moneygall to New York City at the age of 19 in 1850 and eventually resettled in Tipton County, Indiana . Kearney 's father had been the village shoemaker, then a wealthy skilled trade. A little Irish diddy about Barack Obama. Enjoy No one as Irish as Barack OBama O'Leary, O'Reilly, O'Hare and O'Hara There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama You don't believe me, I hear you say But Barack's as Irish, as was JFK His granddaddy's daddy came from Moneygall A small Irish village, well known to you all Toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a lama There's no one as Irish |

Today marks an epic day in the history of the United States, if not in the history of the entire world.
Today is the day that Mr. Barack Obama takes the Oath of Office and is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. As I have written before, I honestly cannot be more patriotic or proud of the United States in this moment. I'm watching the coverage of the inauguration on CNN, (and I plan on doing so all day today) and it's amazing to me just how many people are currently in DC, standing together in the below-freezing temperatures, smiling, laughing, and just truly happy to be a part of this moment. It sounds extremely corny, but I honestly have high hopes for the future of the United States, because not only does Mr. Barack Obama make history with his election, but he also brings an overwhelming wave |

=D For the first time since I was 8 years old, I'm generally happy. I feel like there's actually a chance of me going to college now without having to worry so much abou the debt, even if I have to wait 10 years to go. I feel like I can identify with President Obama (SQUEE) and that comforts me on so many levels. I'm excited for the future, and I can't wait to see my country get better. I'm looking forward to be proud to be American.

it may not show in this picture, but I feel good this morning in a way I haven't for years - we are a better country than we knew - a weight has been lifted off my shoulders - the American people will actually vote seriously, for the most competent candidate, not for a goofball who glorifies ignorance - we are reconnected with the world and with each other - this is what history feels like... it's a good feeling this morning, I don't even have words for...
Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America... I love saying that... |

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer. It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference. It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we |

Painting the Town BLUE

![]() So... I have been out throwing down a few Obama noggins around town on people's driveways. - It has been a real gas. One of the places I drew an Obama Noggin was for a lady who is a machinist for Boeing and part of the Industrial Aircraft Machinist union... (Who are all pro Obama since McCain sold out a couple billion dollar contract to Air France instead of the aircraft companies in America... Wichita in particular.) This lady had her signs ripped off twice and she had posted her own sign saying something to the effect of that "Stealing my yard signs will not change my vote." Anyway, to make a long story short, I drew her an Obama Noggin and then it attracted a drunk neighbor who was Pro-McCain. My art work motivated him to stop mowing his lawn and to attempt |
